Mr. Akito wants me to be the assistant manager! This is so exciting! I really should do something to say thanks, but I have no idea what...Maybe I'll ask Murata... Yeah, that's what I'll do! The next time I see him, I'm gonna ask.

Wow, it's been a while since I updated, huh?

Let's see, where to start... Well, last weekend I went out to that cave I found last month. I got a lot further this time, and it's really amazing down there. I wonder if Mr. Akito would like that kind of thing... He doesn't seem like the kind of guy that gets out much, but then again I don't see him a lot outside of work so I really wouldn't know... Maybe I should ask him if he'd want to go sometime. It might be fun.

Oh! I finally got to meet one of the guys I'm working with! Gren seems like a nice guy, I should ask him to hang out sometime. I've kept myself so busy I still haven't met a lot of people. I really need to work on that! No excuse to be so lazy, after all.

I talked to my dad the other day. He said that there was some snow these last few weeks, so opening the new mine's gotten held up a little bit. He sounded really excited to get back to work, though, and that's the most important thing. He really loves his job, you know. 

I think I might head down to the cafe tonight. I haven't been in a while, and I've been craving a parfait. Weird, since I hardly ever eat them... Oh well, can't question a craving! 

Haha, I guess that's it for now.

Oh, wow! I got a job! I'm so excited! Mr. Akito seems like an okay guy, so I'm sure I'll enjoy working for him. He had me put out ads today as my first official task. I went ahead and made some flyers to pass out, too, so I handed those out to people I met. Haha, I feel a little bit like a secretary.

Hey, I almost forgot! Ritsuka, buddy! I was wondering if you'd like to go out sometime! It's terrible that we're roommates and haven't done anything together yet. Let me know if you want to, okay? We'll plan something super fun!

It's been a few days but I'm finally all settled in. I took a hike the other day and found a cavern that looks like nobody's been in it for a long time, so that dug into my free time before the quarter started. Maybe I should start heading out into town now that class is in? I think I'll swing by the café tomorrow evening. That should be a good place to start...

Well, I guess that's it. Nothing too exciting to tell about for now, haha. I hope that changes soon!
